Who shouldn't take this
We would rather lose the sale than have you find this out after the box arrives. If any of these apply to you, please don't order — or check with your GP or pharmacist first.
Taking SSRI, SNRI or MAOI antidepressants, or triptans — this contains 5-HTP
Pregnant, breastfeeding, or under 18
On diabetes medication or anticoagulants — speak to your GP first
Living with a liver condition, or simply unsure — ask your pharmacist
Daily Berberine Sticks
For the days you are running on empty. One stick into cold water before your biggest meal — with magnesium for tiredness and fatigue, chromium for normal blood glucose, and every dose printed on the box.
- Magnesium contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue
- Chromium contributes to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels
- 30-day money back — opened boxes included
How to take it
Tear open one stick and stir it into about 250ml of cold water — over ice is better, and it dissolves without a shaker. Most people drink it 15 to 30 minutes before the meal they find hardest.
One stick a day is the maximum. Please don't double up: two sticks would take the chromium past the level we'd be comfortable with, and the magnesium citrate would almost certainly catch up with you.
If you're at all sensitive, start on half a stick for the first week and build up.
Safety and interactions — please read
Do not take this product if you are on SSRI, SNRI or MAOI antidepressants, or triptans for migraine. It contains 100mg of 5-HTP, which acts on the same pathway, and combining them carries a risk of serotonin syndrome.
Also not suitable if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under 18.
Speak to your GP or pharmacist before starting if you take medication for diabetes, anticoagulants, or any other prescribed medicine, or if you have a liver condition. Berberine can affect how the liver processes some drugs.
This is a food supplement, not a medicine. It is not a substitute for a varied diet and a healthy lifestyle. Keep out of the reach of young children. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose.
Delivery, returns and the guarantee

30-day money-back guarantee, opened boxes included. If you have drunk half of it and decided it is not for you, that still counts.
How you take it
It's a stick pack and a glass of cold water. The whole point of the format is that it's easy enough to actually keep doing — which matters more than anything we could put on the label.

Every number is on the label
No proprietary blend, no rounded-off doses, nothing hiding behind the words "natural blend". Eight ingredients, eight numbers, printed on the front of the box — including the ones that don't flatter us.
of your daily magnesium reference intake
200mg of magnesium citrate in every stick, against a 375mg NRV. Magnesium contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and to normal energy-yielding metabolism.
of every stick is active ingredients
1,550mg of actives in an 8g stick. All eight are named on the pack with their own dose — none of it is hidden behind a blend name.
of every stick is sugar, at most
0.5g or less per stick, and no added sugar. The lower this number the better, and we would rather print it than round it away.

What we're allowed to tell youChromium contributes to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels — one stick carries 200mcg, which is 500% of the nutrient reference value. Magnesium. contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Those two sentences are authorised claims from the GB nutrition and health claims register, quoted word for word. They're the only health claims we're permitted to make about this product, so they're the only ones you'll find on this page.
90 days, side by side
Photographed on day one and again 3 months later.
Lauren Terri, 36, USA
"I was recommended it by my friend, wanting to avoid all of the drugs on the market I thought i'd start with something simple. Here I am 90 days later, happier with myself than I've ever been. It's helped stopped me snacking and made me feel fuller."

B Berberine HCl Berberis aristata 300mg⌄
A bright yellow alkaloid from the root and bark of barberry and several related plants, used in Ayurvedic and Chinese preparations for centuries. It's the ingredient most people arrive here looking for.
We're not going to tell you what it will do for you. The studies people quote used considerably more per day than the 300mg in one stick, and pretending otherwise would be the easiest lie on this page. What we can tell you is exactly how much is in here, and that it's the same in every box.

Y Yerba Mate Extract Ilex paraguariensis 300mg⌄
The leaf of a South American holly, drunk daily as mate across Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay and southern Brazil, traditionally shared from a gourd.
It contains naturally occurring caffeine. We'll publish the exact caffeine figure per stick alongside the batch certificate rather than guess at it here.
In the blend for: Naturally occurring caffeine
M Magnesium Citrate 200mg · 53% NRV 200mg⌄
Magnesium contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and to normal energy-yielding metabolism. Both are authorised claims, quoted word for word.
One thing we'd rather you heard from us than found out on day two: citrate is the most laxative of the common magnesium forms. For the first few days it can loosen things up. That's the magnesium doing what magnesium citrate does, and it's exactly why we suggest starting on half a stick.
In the blend for: Tiredness and fatigue
C Chromium Picolinate 200mcg · 500% NRV 200mcg⌄
Chromium contributes to the maintenance of normal blood glucose levels, and to normal macronutrient metabolism. Both of those are authorised claims from the GB nutrition and health claims register, quoted word for word.
200mcg is 500% of the nutrient reference value — which is also why one stick a day is the maximum, and why we'd ask you to check the label of anything else you're taking that contains chromium.
In the blend for: Blood glucose and macronutrient metabolism
5 5-HTP Griffonia simplicifolia 100mg⌄
5-hydroxytryptophan, extracted from the seed of the West African Griffonia plant.
This is the ingredient in the formula that interacts with medication. If you take SSRI, SNRI or MAOI antidepressants, or triptans for migraine, do not take this product. That warning is on the pack, in the buy box and at the top of our FAQ — not buried at the bottom in grey text.
In the blend for: Read the safety note first
F Fructooligosaccharides FOS · prebiotic fibre 500mg⌄
A short-chain plant fibre, the kind found in chicory root, onions and bananas.
At 500mg this is a small fraction of the multi-gram amounts used in fibre research, so we're not going to build a gut-health story on top of it. It's in the formula, that's how much, and that's the whole of it.
In the blend for: Prebiotic fibre
C Cinnamon Bark Extract Cinnamomum cassia 100mg⌄
Bark extract at 100mg. In a formula this size it's doing flavour work more than anything else, and we'd rather write that down than dress it up as something else.
In the blend for: Warmth and flavour
G Ginger Extract Zingiber officinale · 5% 50mg⌄
Root extract standardised to 5%, at 50mg — a culinary sort of amount. It's part of what makes the drink taste like something you'd choose, rather than something you'd endure.
In the blend for: Warmth and flavour

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I take this with my antidepressant? +
No — please don't. This product contains 100mg of 5-HTP. If you take an SSRI, SNRI or MAOI antidepressant, or a triptan for migraine, do not take it: they act on the same pathway and combining them carries a risk of serotonin syndrome.
We've put this first because it's the most important question on the page, and because someone reported exactly this reaction to a similar product. If you're not sure what class your medication is in, your pharmacist can tell you in about thirty seconds.
Will it make me lose weight? +
We're not going to tell you it will, and legally we couldn't even if we wanted to.
Here's the honest version: we haven't run a trial on this formula, and the doses in it are lower than the ones used in the published research on these ingredients. Anyone selling you a number — a pounds figure, a timeline, a before-and-after — is either guessing or making it up.
What this is: a daily stick-pack drink with eight disclosed ingredients, a flavour worth repeating, and a 30-day guarantee if it isn't for you.
Why don't you make bigger claims like everyone else? +
Because most of the bigger claims in this category aren't legal here, and the ones that are legal are narrow.
In August 2025 the advertising regulator upheld five separate rulings against supplement brands using the language you've probably seen on your feed — comparing a powder to prescription injections, promising to curb cravings, calling something "nature's" version of a drug. One of them was a berberine seller.
So we have two authorised claims, both about minerals, and we quote them word for word. Everything else on this page is a fact about the product rather than a promise about you. We think that's the more useful thing to hand you anyway.
What does it actually taste like? +
Strawberry açaí, and best cold. Over ice it's genuinely pleasant; at room temperature it's noticeably less so, and there's a slight aftertaste that some people notice and others don't.
Two things that help, both of which came from people drinking this category of product rather than from us: use properly cold water, and drink it within a few minutes of mixing rather than letting it sit.
Is it going to upset my stomach? +
It might for the first few days, and we'd rather you knew that now.
The magnesium in here is magnesium citrate, which is the laxative form. Some people notice nothing at all; others find it loosens things up early on, and a few find it doesn't settle. Starting on half a stick for the first week makes a real difference.
If it doesn't settle down, that's exactly what the 30-day guarantee is for — opened boxes included.
Can I take two sticks a day? +
No. One a day is the maximum.
A single stick already provides 500% of the chromium nutrient reference value, and doubling up also doubles the magnesium citrate — which tends to make itself known. If you take any other supplement containing chromium, check that label too before you start.
How long does delivery take, and can I cancel a subscription? +
Every order is sent on tracked delivery, with free shipping on every order. You will get a tracking link by email as soon as it is on its way.
Subscriptions can be skipped or cancelled at any time from your account. No email, no phone call, no retention offers to click past.
Who shouldn't take this at all? +
Anyone on SSRI, SNRI or MAOI antidepressants or triptans. Anyone pregnant, breastfeeding, or under 18.
And please check with your GP or pharmacist first if you take medication for diabetes, anticoagulants, or any other prescribed medicine, or if you have a liver condition — berberine can affect how the liver processes some drugs.
This is a food supplement, not a medicine, and it isn't a substitute for a varied diet and a healthy lifestyle.
